SOURCES & LISTING STANDARDS
Useful information.
Clear limits.
This independent community guide is being developed by Twylla Charity. It is not a housing authority, lender, brokerage service, or application portal.
What a listing means
Resources are listed for information. A listing is not an endorsement, guarantee, paid placement, or requirement to use a particular provider. You choose whom to work with. Confirm availability, eligibility, fees, licensing, and service terms directly.
Public agency contacts are labeled as information found in published sources. That label does not mean the person has been reached or has agreed to a referral arrangement.
Individual agents, lenders, and settlement professionals will be added only after review of relevant experience, licensing, service terms, and a conversation with the guide’s curator. Claims of HCV experience must be supported separately from general first homebuyer experience. An interview does not guarantee a result.
How corrections are handled
Feedback is privately submitted for the curator’s review. It is not published as a rating or testimonial. A report may lead to a contact update, a request for clarification, or removal of a listing while a concern is checked. This guide cannot resolve a loan decision, housing authority appeal, or complaint against a professional.
No response time is promised in this review edition. For a deadline affecting your housing or purchase, contact the relevant office directly.
Feedback privacy
The feedback form asks for a city, issue type, a short description, and an optional resource name or public link. It does not request your name, email, voucher number, income, address, or documents. Do not include those details or identify other residents. Submissions are stored privately for the site owner to review and are not sent to a housing authority or professional automatically.
Because no reply address is collected, the form cannot provide individual follow-up. Keep the confirmation number for your own records. This site does not provide case management or emergency help.
What is still being confirmed
- Hampton’s current monthly HCV homeownership option and effective policy.
- Newport News’s current enrollment availability, local eligibility, and full homeownership procedure.
- The post-FSS handoff and escalation contact for each authority.
- Treatment of FSS proceeds under each purchase assistance program.
- Individual provider interviews and evidence of recent HCV purchases.
